Listen to this week's message as guest speaker, Dave Prosser, gives us encouragement to live each day with purpose.
Due to technical difficulties, we lost some of our audio in this recording. We believe the message is valuable and worth posting even with the missing content. To fill in the gap, open your bible to Ephesians 3:1-13. Pastor Drew explains the Mysteries of Christ. (1.) Gentiles are fellow heirs with Jews. (2.) We are together partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel and (3.) we are together members of one body (the church).
At approximately 12:50 in Part 1, Pastor Drew is explaining that Ananias (a Christian) was called by God to take a message to Saul who was persecuting Christians. The audio was lost but the rest of the story unfolds in Acts 9: 10-16
10 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord." 11 And the Lord said to him, "Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight." 13 But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name."
15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name."
Pastor Drew continued on to explain that God had a purpose for Saul (later known as Paul) that not even Paul knew about at the time. He read to us from 1 Corinthians 12 about the church being gifted individually by the Holy Spirit for work together as members of one body.
The audio resumes in Ephesians 3:10 “so that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places”.
